Our Story

The Modern Paisana was born from a love of Italian heritage, family traditions, and the belief that some of life's most meaningful moments happen around the table.

Growing up in a first-generation Italian-American family in Brooklyn, food was never simply something we ate. It was how we gathered, celebrated, told stories, and stayed connected. Sunday dinners meant family around the table, sauce simmering on the stove, and traditions being passed from one generation to the next, often without anyone realizing just how precious those ordinary moments would someday become.

Those memories are at the heart of The Modern Paisana.

Today, The Modern Paisana celebrates Italian living in a way that honors the past while embracing the present.
